Check-out
The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a valid driving license that needs to be presented during check-out.
The driver needs to present a valid ID card/passport at time of pick up along with a valid credit card.
VAT
The VAT rate for Cyprus is at 19%. VAT is not included in above rates unless otherwise stated.
General Rental Information
The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a valid driving license that needs to be presented during check-out.
Driving license printed with non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic etc) must be complemented by an International driving license.
The International drivers license is only valid for rental of a car if accompanied by the original country license.
The driver needs to present a valid ID card/passport at time of pick up along with a valid credit card.
Traffic Fines are the responsibility of the client
Rates are not discountable, not commissionable and are inclusive of 2,500 km per month(30 days) limitation
Age Restrictions
Minimum age in Cyprus is 21 years and the driver has to be in possession of a valid driving licence for at least 3 years.
Maximum age in Cyprus is 80 years.
Pre-authorisation
An advance charge approval is obtained for the chosen means of payment as a security. The exact deposit is determined on collection since the amount is dependent on the vehicle.
Additional Driver
An Additional Driver Surcharge of EUR 3.50 per day applies. Maximum Charge per Month EUR 45.00.
Refueling Charge
Full to Full fuel policy: All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel. Car should be refilled prior to return to Sixt else a refueling charge will be added to fuel cost.
OPTIONAL: Pre-purchased fuel on a discount rate.
Premium Location Fee
Airport fee EUR 20.00 including VAT per rental occurs on all airport locations.
Road Side Assistance
Road assistance fee covers assistance in cases, when a breakdown or damage results from drivers improper use. This can be combined with all types of coverage.
This would cover i.e.Roadside tyre change, Battery start help, Delivery of spare key in case of loss or damage (this does not cover the cost of the replacement key).
Customers can purchase Road Assistance for a fee of EUR 3.00 per day maximum EUR 48.00 per month.
General Insurance Conditions
Third Party Insurance (CDW)
Insurance coverage (included with rates) for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability.
Excluded from any insurance type is the use of the vehicle for the transport of dangerous goods. All insurance cover as part of the rental contract will become void, in particular, if an unauthorized driver has used the vehicle or if the
driver of the vehicle does not possess the required driver's license at the time of the event giving rise to claim.
Tire and Glass Coverage (EDW)
Tire and Glass Coverage provides cover against the consequences of damages on tires, windscreen, side windows and back window. The monthly cost of TG per Group is stated in table.
If TG is not accepted the customer will be held liable for the full value of damages on tires, windscreen, side windows and back window.
